May 5 2019
Hi all, I am planning the Park clean-up day for Sunday May 5th. Meet up at the club house at 10:00 AM and fan out from there. Bring a shovel, rubber boots, gloves and a good attitude. Over all the park is in pretty good shape. The main areas of concern are around the club house , parking lot and quarry on the north side and the west parking lot area. Bags will be provided and located at the club house. I hope the weather holds for us!

Accessible On-Street Parking pilot program and survey
The Winnipeg Parking Authority is holding a pilot program and stakeholder survey to identify on-street parking barriers faced by motorists with accessibility requirements.
The City of Winnipeg is interested in learning more about on-street parking barriers faced by motorists with accessibility requirements. If you are a Society for Manitobans with Disabilities (SMD) parking permit holder, please take five minutes to complete a survey on paid parking needs. Your feedback will assist in determining accessible on-street parking needs in the downtown and the development of a long-term plan to address on-street parking needs. The project team will be collecting feedback until May 31, 2019.

Engagement Updates
Offleash Dog Areas Master Plan
As called for in the Off Leash Dog Areas Master Plan, the City has developed a new site selection process and procedure for community groups and individuals who want to request a new off-leash dog area. The procedures will help the City to be more consistent, effective, and efficient when reviewing applications and selecting new off-leash areas. The report was received as information at the Standing Policy Committee on Protection, Community Services and Parks (SPC-PCS) meeting on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
For more information, visit winnipeg.ca/offleashareas.
Athletic Field Review
The final Athletic Field Review document and Open House Feedback Summary report are available for review on the project website, winnipeg.ca/athleticfieldreview.
Once approved by Council, the Athletic Field Review will provide a point of reference for the City and help guide how athletic fields are allocated and managed in the future. Implementation and refinement of the recommendations outlined in the Athletic Field Review will be a collaborative effort between the City, stakeholders and athletic field users.
This newsletter is sent out every other Thursday. We strive to promote events at least two weeks ahead through other means such as newspaper ads, social media, and direct mail.
